About Adapted Adventures
We are Kasey and Andrea, an interabled and interracial couple living in Minnesota. We created Adapted Adventures as a way of encouraging adaptive living that is independent and active! On this site we provide how-to guides for wheelchair accessible traveling, equipment reviews, lifestyle and fitness tips for individuals who use wheelchairs.
Our Mission
Adapted Adventures believes in sharing content as a way of encouraging adaptive living that is independent and active. Our goal is to break down stigmas and stereotypes related to independence and living life to the fullest with regards to the disabled community.
Our Challenges & Our Journey Of Giving Back
The Missing Piece
Through our adventures together, we have found it difficult to find quality, reliable, first-hand resources out there for navigating a world not always geared toward accessibility.
We have also found that there is a lack of relatable influences that encourage the idea that it is possible to experience all of the world has to offer, regardless of your disability.
What We Care About
We care deeply about making the best of every day and every situation, and we hope that we can encourage others to pursue a fulfilling and independent lifestyle despite the challenges they may face.
